menopause

alright, so maybe it's not REALLY menopause, but that's what it reminded me of. occasionally a woman refuses to accept that she is no longer capable of reproduction and she fights. well this tree, leafless and quite dead, somehow managed to produce fruit in the very end. impressive, i think.
